We have two different kinds of studios for rent for your residency:

Private and Semi-Private

PRIVATE STUDIOS

(YUCCA, SUNFLOWER & RAVEN)

Private, individual rooms with locking door. Private studios are best for artists who want more solitude when they are working, more wall space and privacy. Private studios can be shared with up to one other artist for a $150 double occupancy fee per week.

PRIVATE STUDIOS INCLUDE

One or two 6-foot folding tables w/ height extenders if desired (make counter height)

Chair(s)

4 walls for exhibition space

Gallery lighting for all 4 walls (moveable track spotlights)

Trash can

Ceiling Fan

Swamp cooler on warm days, heating

At least two windows in each studio for natural light

At least one openable window with screen

Access to artist kitchen, indoor & outdoor lounge areas, lobby, bikes and gallery spaces

SEMI-PRIVATE STUDIOS

(TUMBLEWEED 1, 2, 3 & 4)

Tumbleweed is our large workshop studio with a private entrance. Tumbleweed has movable walls with storage that are used to divide the large space into four, semi-private spaces. These movable walls can be arranged to customize the space as desired upon request.

Tumbleweed is a great option for friends coming to work together, or artists wanting the “art school” experience of working side-by-side with other artists for inspiration, camaraderie and motivation. Artists can rent multiple Tumbleweed studios for the same week(s) for themselves or for friends. Tumbleweed can be rented in entirety for $1000 per week ($200 off individual rental).

There is a maximum of 4 artists per week in Tumbleweed for residencies and retreats.

Each semi-private studio is approximately 16’ by 10’

Semi-private studios vary in size due to movable walls that can be customized to number of artists and desired configuration.
